The only time I saw the crane was a windy day several weeks ago. We watched it
fly easily a mile; it started from the mid field directly north and in line
with the road the owls were spending the day next to; started northeast then
swung around to the west
circling well north Spindletop and coming back down about a half mile west
beyond the pond. While it was evident that flight was somewhat off center the
crane flew rather strongly on a windy day. may have been up a minute.
