3 Red-necked Grebes were seen today at Jacobson Park in Lexington.

Brian Wulker just emailed me that he has 3 Red-necked Grebes at Cave Run Lake
(I think off the dam) along with 17 spp. of waterfowl. Add these to 1 on the
Ohio River at Cincy by Bill Hull and the 2 at Jacobson Park by Lou Shain and we
have a full-fledged irruption similar to the late winter of 1994, when 1-5
Red-neckeds showed up at least seven locales in the state.
It will be interesting to see how many show up during the coming couple of
weeks.
