We had a good time at our spring weekend down at Pine Mountain. We had walks
Friday evening, Saturday all day, and Sunday morning. We did not get a lot of
species since we did pnly two habitats, the forest around the lodge and a
little
of the golf course. We did have rain friday night and Saturday morning and
Sunday was very foggy. We did get a total of 61 species for the weekend. Most
of
the warblers were KY breeders with very few of the species that migrate
through.
The pot luck Friday and the Derby Party on Saturday were great. Thanks for all
the good food that everyone brought. I have posted a few of my pictures from
the
weekend ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/lang-photoshare/ ;) for those of you that
are interested.
Next up on the schedule are the Annual Picnic for our local chapter of the
National Audubon Society.
