We had a small turnout for our walk in Red River Gorge this Saturday. Only Joe
Swanson and myself. The best bird of the day was a Red-breasted Nuthatch. We
heard him calling and Joe said that doesn't sound right for a White-breasted
Nuthatch. He played Red-br to see if we would get a response and sure enough,
he
came right in to the playback giving us some decent looks. This looks like it
might be part of the breeding population that has been identified along the
Rock
Bridge Trail in past years.
