So how's everyone doing finding sparrows?
I was at Griffith Woods today and had a couple of Lincoln's sparrows. We also
had lots of song, field, and swamp sparrows. Several white-throated and
white-crowned sparrows joined the fun! If you count towhees we had seven
species. I've had chipping at my house this week, but didn't see one at
Griffith Woods (that makes 8) Has anyone had savannah sparrow? We should get
them at Spindletop on Saturday (#9). Maybe we could add vesper sparrow as well
(10). How about dark-eyed junco (11)? Anyone had them yet? If we count Dave
Svetich's Nelson's sparrow (12), we're doing quite well!
Has anyone who lives in south Lexington/Nicholasville checked Camp Nelson?
I plan to head out to Hisle Park in next next few days.
