I tried to capture the incredible numbers of these birds through video and
photos. Photos of roosting birds were taken in the dark and every white
"smudge" is a Martin.
I highly recommend getting out to see them between 8:30 - 9:00 pm near
PetsMart off of Man O'War Blvd in Hamburg Pavilion. I have never seen
anything like this!
My car seemed to have a bullseye on it.
Don't leave windows open as I did. Their aim is great.
A hat and old jacket or shirt might not be a bad idea as I think I was very
lucky when I didn't get hit even once
It was interesting that many shoppers never seemed to even notice this
incredible show while others were watching. I approached people who looked
like they were curious and we talked about what they were seeing.
