Lexington area report: I went out to check on the Great Horned Owl nest on Old
Frankfort Pike and found that the owlets had fledged and the nest was empty. On
the other hand the Great Blue Heron rookery in a sycamore tree out by
Weisenberger Mill has herons on the nest. GPS coordinates for the rookery are
(38.128447,-84.640045). To see some photos, here's a link

from
the bridge south of the rookery, not the bridge by the mill.
