Around noon today I dropped by the Lexington Cemetary for 20 mins. or so. Not
any warbler activity around the Henry Clay monument at that time, however,
there were numerous Wood and Hermit Thrushes feeding on the ground. Good looks
at both...I believe there was at least one other thrush (not counting the
hordes of Robins) but didn't have time to stalk around for an id.
This evening I walked over to Ashland, Henry Clay's estate. A nice walk
with...6-8 Scarlet Tanager's... the highlight...all male...other birds included
Red Eyed Vireo, Yellow Throated Vireo, Indigo Bunting, Yellow Rumped Warblers,
Ruby Crowned Kinglets,, Northern Parula, White Throat Sparrows...the gala
parade is on! Thanks Hank!
