I was very lucky to get up-close-and-personal photos of the Golden-winged,
Blue-winged and an American Redstart this morning.
It started with the Blue-winged hitting my window. I placed him in a small
wastepaper basket and covered it so it was dark and let him rest. He
recovered and flew off strongly. That put me on Warbler alert.
These are some of a advantages of living in a house built on stilts looking
right into the North Elkhorn Creek and into the tops of some trees. There
are disadvantages though.
Last night I found a 3" Fishing Spider in my bed. There are not many
things that make me scream like a girl but this "girl" did it.
