I received the attached email from the San Diego Audubon society. They have
received a donation of a book on KY birds by Robert Mengel and would like to
return it to it's home state. I was not familiar with the work so I researched
it a bit. The book, written in 1964, is still available for about $40. And
here is a rather glowing review of it:
