While returning home from the UK baseball, my wife Renee and I startled up a
small squirrel between the BCTC buildings near the stadium. A red tailed hawk
dove directly less than ten feet over our heads and killed the squirrel.
Satisfied, he sat on his prey twenty yards from us. I doubt he left anything
for the small flock of starlings that followed in his wake. I felt sorry for
the squirrel, but it was impressive to see the bird make his kill so close to
