I personally like the smaller Kestrel logo with ASK and I would spell out
Established 1910 unless there's a cost issue with that. I know there has been
alot of discussion about the logo and everyone approved it but I'm wondering if
the "perch" could be extended a little to set the bird slightly farther away
from the letters. Just a nit and no need to change it unless Spencer is ok
with that. And I would pick a hat color that complements the bird like faded
gray.

PS and I want to order 2 whatever you decide to do!

Subject: [ask] ASK logo hat
Hey everyone,
I'd love to attract some positive attention in the community. I'm thinking of
several ways to do this. One way may be to create a sharp looking new ASK logo
hat. I remember recently seeing someone in the Co-op with a lone soaring
California Condor on a faded green hat. I immediately stopped him and had a 10
minute conversation about the bird, the hat, and where/how he got it.
We've had some difficulty deciding on the layout/design for the hat, and I'd
love some of your input. Here are some of the "options" (in no particular
order):
These will be embroidered.
1. new Kestrel logo (alone) on the front, with "Audubon Society of Kentucky"
over the opening in the back.
2. new Kestrel logo (with "ASK") on front with nothing or "Est. 1910" over the
back.
3. larger Kestrel logo (with smaller "ASK") on front with nothing or "Est.
1910" over the back.
The cost will be in the $20/hat range.
Spencer Reinhard has worked on conceptualizing these ideas in the attached
hats. Please don't get too attached (or turned off) to the hat color in the
example. I was thinking more of a weathered spruce green.
Thoughts please.
