Excellent! This seems to work ok - thanks for the acknowledgement Peter.

Please note - if you reply to a [bhfa-trustees] email, then your message
goes to the whole list. If you want to respond just to the sender, you'll
have to copy their email address out of the sender section in the message
header and paste it into the To: section of a new email.

Many thanks.

Subject: [bhfa-trustees] Email communication

Dear BHFA trustees,

Although I've been careful not to share email addresses of trustees without
their permission, section 17 of our constitution empowers trustees to make
decisions outside of meetings via electronic communication:

"17. Taking of decisions by charity trustees

Any decision may be taken either:

. at a meeting of the charity trustees; or

. by resolution in writing or electronic form agreed by all of the
charity trustees, which may comprise either a single document or several
documents containing the text of the resolution in like form to each of
which one or more charity trustees has signified their agreement."

In order to empower trustees to communicate electronically I've created an
email discussion list "bhfa-trustees@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" and subscribed you all
to it. This means you can now receive email from other trustees without your
email address being released without your permission. Please note - if you
send an email to the list, you will reveal you email address to other
members.

The members of the email list are as follows:

Trustees

1. Rev Martin Poole - St Lukes - Chair of BHFA

2. David Steell - One Church

3. Rev Paul Diock - St John the Baptist

4. Simon Lewis - City Coast Church

5. Tim Earey - Church of Christ the King

6. Leighton Rowe - St Peters

7. Rev Alex Mabbs - Brighthelm Church and Community Centre Trust

8. Fr Mark Lyon - Benefice of S. Michael & All Angels and S. Paul

9. Peter Speck, Progressive Synagogue

Associate Trustees

10. Cllr Christina Summers, Brighton and Hove City Council Faith Groups
Champion

11. Rev Peter Wells, Lead Chaplain of Brighton and Sussex University
Hospitals NHS Trust

12. Lev Eakins - Secretary of BHFA

Please note - by convention I describe all members of the board of trustees
simply as "trustees". Associate trustees have the same rights and
responsibilities as full trustees except for voting powers, but they can be
described as trustees nevertheless.

I've also included the latest Interfaith Contact Group Directory which
provides contact information for most of the faith groups within the city.
You can use this to communicate with those faith groups outside the list of
trustees.

Please let me know if you have any questions and queries over how this email
list works.

Please also bear with me if this doesn't work properly to start with - this
is the first attempt at sending to the list and there may be teething
issues!

Kind regards,

Lev Eakins
