On Tuesday 15 July 2014 at 6.30pm we’ll be hosting a workshop to gather together and look at: · How we can directly impact older people living in isolation? · How can we encourage neighbourliness? · How can we support older people to get out and about? · How can we help older people eat well? With budget cuts of 26% in adult social care services and a rise in our ageing population, tackling loneliness and social isolation is a challenge we cannot ignore, both at an individual and wider community level. This July event is an opportunity to reflect and empower our own communities to increase the wellbeing within older people. Please could you advertise this event within your community and networks by featuring in your notices, notice board, website etc?
