FWIW, I did email the current owner of haiku.org about one or two
weeks ago (info from their whois) to see if they were interested in
parting with the domain.

I got no response at that time.

I realize that's not the same as using our NPO corporate powers to
regain the domain, but I figured I'd mention it since it's on-topic
for this discussion :)
