Monday, January 19
 

The Chamber office as well as Belmont City Hall will be closed in observance of 
Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 
Wednesday, January 21
 

Look Good! Feel Good! Business Showcase Organizing Committee Meeting, 2:30 pm, 
San Carlos Chamber of Commerce. Look out for information regarding how you can 
participate in this exciting event.

 

Thursday, January 22
 

Bayside Chiropractic hosted mixer, 5-7 pm. Please support this event hosted by 
Chamber members Dr. Arlan and Joan Young. Bayside Chiropractic is located at 
1200 Brittan Avenue, San Carlos, at the corner of Brittan and Laurel. There 
will be some great door prizes!

 
Saturday, January 24
 

City of Belmont Economic Development Summit, 9 am - 1 pm, Twin Pines Senior & 
Community Center. Your Chamber representatives will be active participants in 
this summit.

 

Planning Ahead
 

February 3: Economic Forum featuring Doug Henton, CEO of Collaborative 
Economics. Mr. Henton has more than 20 years' experience in economic 
development. He will be giving us an economic update as well as forecasts and 
projections for the coming year. This Forum is jointly sponsored by the San 
Carlos Chamber of Commerce. A flyer with more information is attached. (Please 
use this flyer instead of the one in the newsletter since there is a date 
change.)

 

Special Announcement
 

The City of Belmont is currently recruiting Belmont residents interested in 
serving on various City Commissions.  The deadline to apply is 5:00 P.M. 
Friday, January 23, and the application is available on the City's website: 
www.belmont.gov under "City Clerk Homepage, by calling (650) 595-7413, or in 
person at the City Clerk's Office, 1070 Sixth Avenue, Suite 301.
 

There are three openings on the Parks and Recreation Commission.

Two openings for Youth seats on the Parks and Recreation Commission, ages 
13-17. 

There are three openings on the Arts Commission.

There are two vacancies and two seats set to expire on the Finance Commission.
