Hi, all members of BCL,

We have made one more step on tracking historical urban development of
Beijing using open data, available from various departments of Beijing
Municipal Government.

Last night our member Mr LI Miaoyi finished geocoding the second data
of BCL (2 Land transactions) and I uploaded them online at
http://longy.jimdo.com/data-released/. Hope the geocoded land
transactions, together with DATA 10 Land use planning permits in
Beijing 1997-2013 and DATA 8 Housing price in Beijing, may help your
understanding on spatial development of Beijing during last decades.

It is an era of not only "big data", but "open data". Hopefully open
data would be a solution for quantitative urban studies for China.

Have a new start of Chinese New Year!

Best regards,
