Ed, David, and I had a great day of birding at Birch Knob, yesterday, even
though only 24 Broadwings showed up in our lenses. There were no clouds to
speak of all day long, which made scanning for raptors a challenging feat.
We did, however, wind up practically in the middle of a few feeder flocks
of migrants, and it was cool to look down at warblers for a change.
The species list follows. Also, Ed heard a Screech Owl here on Colt Hollow
in the early morning.
