Well Peggy...we're all waiting for you to tell us the age of these young

Great find!

Made a quick trip through Burke's Garden this afternoon. Nothing of note until
I passed the school/community center heading north. On my right I saw a huge
bird perched in an oak tree. It was a young Bald Eagle. I turned the car
around to get a better look and found another young Bald Eagle about 100 yards
south of the first one. Our resident adult Bald Eagle was perched near the nest
only 2/10 mile from the young ones. I have some photos that I hope will confirm
this. A thunderstorm set in as I was taking all of this in. Do you think they
could be a previous hatch returning?
At MSB Pond, I found a raft of 19 Ring Necked Ducks, several Wilson's Snipe, a
lone Pie Billed Grebe, Canada Geese and Killdeer. What was interesting was
seeing how they handled being pelted with hailstones. They all hunkered down
together of a kind until it passed.
