The question of the largest county (by area) in Virginia came up at the
Monday meeting. Here's a website with the counties ranked by area, by
population, and by population density.

Washington, Scott, and Tazewell are the three largest (in order) for
southwest Virginia with Washington coming in at number 14 in the state.
Buchanan County has an area of 504 mi2 which is a little more than half the
area of the largest county, Pittsylvania, with an are of 971 mi2.
