Nice photos. These encounters make running errands worthwhile.

I had to make a run to Lebanon this afternoon for some milk. It turned into an interesting outing. As I was approaching US 19 on Elk Garden Road, I spotted this guy walking down the middle of the road. I stopped and watched as he moved off to the side for a quick snack. He never did fly.
On the way home, I decided to follow Big Cedar Creek where I ran into this guy. He posed while I observed from several angles and was still there when I left.
Finally, I stopped to check on the GBH tree where I found this guy building a new nest.
Too bad all trips to town can’t be as rewarding.
