Bob,
Thanks for the report from South Holston Lake. It's good to see that the shore
birds are moving through.

  Hi All,

Diana and I spent the holiday on South Holston Lake enjoying the day. On the
Virginia side of the lake we observed the following shorebirds.

  Short-billed dowitchers-3

  Spotted Sandpipers -6

  Solitary Sandpipers 5

  Least Sandpipers 18

  White-rumped Sandpiper-1

  Lesser Yellowlegs 1

  Semipalmated Plover 2

  Killdeer 29

I Did see one Osprey fishing.

On the Tennessee side we only saw Killdeer- 5

  Black Terns -6

And the most interesting find was one juvenile Laughing Gull.

  I also saw 1 soaring Red-tailed Hawk.

  God's Blessings

And Good Bird watching to you all.
