[bcbirdclub] Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Drove over to Haysi Kiwanis Park this afternoon to hike some of the Russell
Fork Trail. This trail is a hiking/biking/horseback only trail from the Breaks
Park to Kiwanis Park. Birding was a little slow this afternoon but I did find
this gorgeous little Kinglet. I think this trail is going to be an excellent
breeding season trail. The part I was on today has lots of Autumn Olive
thickets, mature White Pines and several small wetland areas that should
produce some good birding opportunities. I was surprised to find the pretty
Cardinal sitting on the hood of my truck when I returned from hiking!
