[bcbirdclub] Redbud Festival Bird Walk

Just a reminder that the Russell County Bird Club is conducting a bird walk
tomorrow morning (Saturday, the 16th) in conjunction with the Honaker Redbud
Festival. The walk starts at 7:30 at Slate?s Campground. Slate?s
Campground is located on the Redbud Highway (VA Route 80) between Honaker
and Rosedale. Take Route 672 (Stumptown Road) off the Redbud Highway to get
to the campground which is on Campground Road. Route 672 is approximately
0.6 mile toward Honaker from where Redbud Highway crosses the Clinch River
at Blackford. The campground is approximately 1 mile from the turn.
Approximate coordinates of the campground are N36º 59.540´ W81º 57.332´.
The walk will be led by Tom Hunter and Bob Montgomery. Everyone is invited.
Bring rain gear since the forecast is for possible showers.
