Buchanan Birders, On the way to Red River Gorge this morning, we spotted a small flock of 9 Sandhill Cranes flying over Winchester, KY and heading south. The birding in the Red River Gorge was slow but we did find lots of GC-Kinglets, Hermit Thrushes, Pileated and RB-Woodpeckers, a Cooper's Hawk and several Red-tailed Hawks. The roads and trails were snow covered but the arches were amazing.
