[bcbirdclub] Recent sightings

The first Fox Sparrow for our place showed up on Saturday, while a group of
Pine Siskins were foraging in treetops near the Beaver Pond on the 23rd.
I had an interesting observation of a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in our
backyard Crabapple tree. I've seen sapsuckers peck at late apples while the
fruit hung on the tree but this bird didn't do that. This guy actually picked
one of the little apples, carried it to a limb that had a gash in the bark,
placed the fruit carefully and proceeded to eat from it. No camera of course!
