Subject: [bcbirdclub] Purple Mushroom
Several days ago I found this unusual mushroom beside
the birding trail here on our property. I know very little about mushrooms,
but from what I found on the internet it may be the species Cortinarius
violaceous a species that is supposedly not uncommon in the Eastern
U.S., but it is the first time we have ever found one here.
