This week here on Compton Mt the migration has really picked up with
migrants coming in in waves. Between 7:30 and 8:00 the first migrants appear
in our yard like the Blue-winged Warbler and the Indigo Bunting in this
photo.

This Blue-winged was one of 13 warbler species on this day. The other
species were Tennessee Warblers 32 of them, Canada Warbler 1, Northern
Parula 1, Chestnut-sided Warbler 4, my FOS Magnolia Warblers 3, Cape May
Warbler 1, Black-throated Green Warblers 3, Blackburnian Warblers 6,
Yellow-throated Warblers 2, Black-and-white Warblers 4, American Redstarts 2
and 1 Worm-eating Warbler.

For those interested we still have some spots open for our Warbler Day at
our place this Saturday, Sept 12. Contact me if you would like to attend.
There is no charge, but I need to know how many will be attending, and I can
send directions.
