Hi All,
I have been in touch with Johnny Wills of Wise recently, concerning the Breaks
Park Peregrines. Johnny works for the Virginia Dept of Game, and is the guy who
brings the young falcons to the Breaks Park after picking them up in Wytheville
from the guys who bring them from Eastern VA.

On Tuesday, July 24th Johnny called to tell me that he was bringing in 4 young
falcons that day. Previously he had told me that these young birds would be
fitted with radio transmitters, but it seems the transmitters were put on some
birds going to the New River Gorge instead.

It turns out that two of these young falcons were some that Dave Worley had
been watching in the nest on the VDGIF web cam in Richmond.

In a few weeks these young birds should be flying over the Breaks Park with
some of the other 11 that have already been released there this summer. It's
worth a trip to the park just to see these birds soaring out over the gorge.
