Today was a spectacular day for me at Mendota Fire Tower. I had 2539 raptors
with 2530 Broad-winged Hawks. During a 15 minute period around noon I had 1437
Broadwings stream past the tower. I had activity from 9:30 to almost 5:00 when
the rains came. I do not think there was a period of 10 minutes when I did not
have a Broadwing somewhere in the pipeline. They were still flying at 5 so they
may continue early tomorrow.
