Glad I got to check the lake yesterday. This juvenile Cormorant and female
Ruddy Duck were both good finds for our neck of the woods! I attempted to get
closer to the cormorant by hiking around the lake, but only succeeded in
getting caught in a violent rainstorm! Thank goodness I had remembered the "Don
Carrier" method of carrying a plastic grocery bag to protect my camera. Thanks
Don! Another good sighting at our feeders yesterday, was a Rusty Blackbird! A
first for the season at our place!
