Jane & I just got back from Richmond where the birding highlight was a Cooper's Hawk in our daughter's swimming pool. That's not quite as dramatic as it sounds since the pool was covered with a tarp and the hawk was taking advantage of a small pool of water that had collected in it. It was only some 30 feet from the window from which we watched. At home, we still have at least 2 Juncos hanging around. The White-throated Sparrows are apparently gone haven't not been seen in nearly two weeks or so. We do have Chipping Sparrows and the Blue Jay numbers have increased to at least 7. Jerry
