As a part of the Honaker, VA Redbud Festival there
will be a bird and wildflower walk at Slate's
Campground on Saturday, April 19 at 8:15AM. The
Russell County Bird Club will once again lead the
walk. The walk leaders will be Tom Hunter and Bob
Montgomery.
Participants are asked to meet at Slate's Campground
to register and begin the walk. Slate's Campground is
located on Route 672(Stumptown Road) between Honaker
and Blackford Virginia off of Route 80.
Also, a big country breakfast sponsored by the Bethany
Baptist Church will be available beginning at 7:00 AM
in the Honaker High School Cafeteria.
Bring your binoculars, cameras, and bird and
wildflower books and join the fun.
