Early this morning a beautiful Red-shouldered Hawk flew into a locust tree
below our yard pond. The colors on it were rich and bright. It was the picture
of health for an adult of that species. Unfortunately, it flew off before I
could get a photo, though I doubt the photo could have captured what I saw.
