Subject: [bcbirdclub] Guesses Fork Birding

We had a beautiful fall hike, yesterday, on Guesses Fork and tallied nine
species of warbler along the way. Flocks of Palm Warblers were once again (as
in previous falls) present on top of the strip-mined mountain, making them the
most numerous species of the day.

Black-throated Green
Redstart
Blackburnian
Bay-breasted
Common Yellowthroat
Blackpoll
Pine
Chestnut-sided
Palm

We also saw Swainson's Thrush, Wood Thrush, Gray Catbird, Yellow-billed Cuckoo,
and Blue-headed Vireo. To top off the day, Ed spotted an Osprey flying fast and
high overhead as we were winding up our hike.

Happy Autumn,
Michelle & Ed
