There were four Great Egrets perched in a tree on Riverside Drive just a few
blocks from downtown Pikeville at about 5:30
this evening. They were easily visible from the street. At least two of them
were decked out in their breeding plumage.
We have had Yellow Throated Warblers are our suet feeders this week as did
Roger. I thought that we saw them last year
at the feeders but I wanted to wait to be sure before confirming that.
Also I believe that we have a group of about six ravens come by the feeders
periodically---usually in the morning. We chase them off after 4-5 minutes.
