Last month, many of you took the GBBC eNewsletter quiz about bird feeding. The results are below, showing that most of you already knew the difference between bird-feeding facts and myths. Percentage Correct The Facts 85% Feeding hummingbirds does not stop them from migrating. In fact, leaving your feeders out longer may help provide that last bit of energy they need to make their migration successful. 72% Birds do not choke on peanut butter, but you can add some grit or corn meal to yours to keep it from clumping just in case. 71% Birds’ feet are not likely to stick to cold metal perches. 70% Birds do not become dependent on bird feeders. 62% Birds do not die from eating uncooked rice. For the answers to more bird myths, check out the FAQ and informational pages below: Back to Basics: Bird Feeders, Binoculars and More Choosing the right field guide, binoculars or bird feeder can be challenging.
