Hi List Members,
Just wanted to report that a Snowy Owl was admitted to WildLife
Response, Inc care for rehabilitation on Friday, 11/28/08. The bird was
found on the ground by Norfolk Animal Control.

Lisa Barlow, WRI raptor rehabilitator who is caring for this bird,
reports: "He's thin, covered with lice, but standing. Has a limp (left
leg) but no other trauma. So far, he's very tolerant of the hand
feeding. Game plan is to stabilize, deworm, xray, and maybe do bloodwork
on Monday. Then get him back up to weight and ship him back up north!"
Lisa is considering several transport locations, including the Vermont
Institute of Natural Science - http://www.vinsweb.org and the Owl
Foundation in Ontario, among others.
