Inspired by some reports from Michelle,Veronica and Roger I got out to the
Breaks Park this A.M. for a look around. It looked slow at first with very
little activity-not even much going on along the western rim overlooks. I
hadn't checked the campground area for a while so thinking the number of
campers might be low I went there. So glad I did, there was a great mixed
feeder flock near the basketball court. The vireos
included;Red-eyed,Blue-headed, yellow-throated and 2 Philadelphia. The warbler
list was also great
with;Blackburnian,Yellow-throated,Worm-eating,cerulean&Blue-winged. There were
also several flycatchers in the mix. I've included a pic of one Empid
species-any ideas? It's exciting to see this activity after a slow July and
early August.

The deer was on my way out of the park-just thought she was cool.
