I took a drive along the roads that follow the river as it flows through Mendota, Virginia. It was chilly at 7:30am, but it warmed up quickly. I went to a couple of spots where I usually find Orchard Orioles, but came up empty. Still, it was a nice drive with some good sightings. Eastern Kingbird and Warblers were all first of the year for me.
