Yesterday, Saturday, I noticed a female bluebird carrying straw into the
bluebird box in our front yard. Today I opened the box to take a look, and
found the complete nest, ready for eggs (see photo). We have been hosting
Eastern Bluebirds in our nest boxes since 2002, and this is the earliest
nest I have ever found.
