So, I asked around, and according to some folks who live at Southern Gap,
Bald Eagles are frequently--even commonly--seen in that area. And (hold onto
your hats) last year, several high school students reported seeing adults and
eaglets in a nest at Southern Gap. I'm trying to gather more specific
information from a couple of teachers who live there or know people who live
there, in order to pinpoint a nesting site, if one exists.
If all this is old news to the club, pardon my excitement; this is all new
info to me.
