While on Vacation I found this fellow lurking about. It was an interesting bird to watch, it has a unique personality and hunting style. When I first noticed it all I saw was a head popping up out of the water, kind of like a snake. I later discovered it to be a Anhinga. I observed it from a very close distance as it an several others hunted. Thought I would share this unique bird the" Water Turkey" as its also called. I also saw Roseate Spoonbills which were working the shallows, along with a host of other species. Mike Sanders Bristol, VA Anhinga Huntington Beach State Park South Carolina
