Today, Daryl Owens and I birded around my property then the Mountain Top Golf Course here on the mountain. We found 33 species. The day started with Daryl seeing an American Kestrel sitting on the peak of the neighbor's barn. Daryl later got a life bird at the golf course when a late migrating Orange-crowned Warbler was found feeding among some goldenrod. We also found a late female Cape May Warbler and both Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. We also saw one adult White-crowned Sparrow, one Dark-eyed Junco and a couple of White-throated Sparrows. We had 6 woodpecker species - Red-bellied, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Downy, Hairy, Northern Flicker and Pileated. Following is the complete list for the day.
