I encourage you to do so. So Far we have 28 members. We have scheduled our
first event via Facebook and it worked quite nicely. For this weekends trip to
Burke’s Garden 10 people have signed up to go and it’s a painless process to
accept an invitation.
If you do not have a Facebook account and you are leery of joining – remember
people can only see what you post on Facebook. So if you only use it for the
bird club page that’s all anyone can see. And you can make that private as
well. I was forced to join Facebook so I could see my children and
grandchildren! I found that a lot my birding friends were already there. With
Facebook you can see what are long distance members like Ed and Michelle
Talbott and Dan Kendrick are up too, and Fred Martin will make make you laugh
or think everyday!
