Some of the birds that came to the feeders here today included 50 Pine
Siskins, 5 Goldfinches, 11 Cardinals, 1 Eastern Towhee, 2 female Red-wing
Blackbirds, Hairy, Downy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, a couple of Carolina
Chickadees, Nuthatches, Tufted Titmice and Blue Jays, plus 2 pesky Gray
Squirrels.
A male Northern Flicker started his spring "drumming" to attract a mate
using the metal transformer on the electrical pole to get better sound.
We know that spring can't be too far away when we see Snow Crocus blooming.
They started yesterday.
