Lots of good birds were active and singing yesterday morning. A singing
Prothonotary Warbler started the action with a Swainson's Thrush showing up
next. The warbler list for the hike included : Hooded, Northern Parula,
Yellow-throated, Ovenbird, Louisiana Waterthrush,Black-throated Green and
Black&White. Other birds found included : Red-eyed, Blue-headed and
Yellow-throated Vireo, Scarlet Tanager, Wood Thrush, Acadian Flycatcher,
Great-crested Flycatcher, Indigo Bunting, Carolina Wren, Eastern Towhee,Tufted
Titmouse, Cardinal, Robin and Turkey Vulture. I hope the Prothonotary decides
to nest along Camp Branch- I will be checking!
