Both systems are the same. PS4 has a better processor and graphics card.
That doesn't matter, all the games are pretty much the same meaning they
come out for both systems and look pretty much the same. Same account
setup (multiple accounts parental control so on) same online options
blah blah blah.
The only difference is exclusive titles in games. I liked the exclusives
that were coming out on the PS4 and I like the PS4 controller more than
the Xbox so I got that, plus the fact that at launch Microsoft was not
listening to there base was another big reason.

I would get the Xbox one s its more powerful than the PS4 and the interface is much better you can have kids profiles so you control what they watch and play. Plus you get free games every month with gold and I pay about 35 a year for Xbox gold

Backwards compatibility really isn't a big deal to me right now actually. We'll probably keep the Xbox 360 around for a bit.
From what I have read, seems like the ps4 has a little more horsepower for gaming, but I don't know that that would even matter to me.
I do like how with PlayStation you get free games as long as you keep paying for online play, which is only $60 a year.
Does have more kid friendly games than the other?

Well I have both. It all depends on exclusives and if you want to
play backwards comparable games. For backcompat games you have to
get the xbone. Here are my jumbled thoughts on the two:
Exclusives are becoming more rare but the uncharted series is on
ps and that is a great series that is action adventure. For
Xbox, halo and tomb raider are the most popular exclusives.
Although tomb raider was a timed exclusive and will be coming out
on ps in a month or so ,a year after release on pc and Xbox.
Most rpgs come out on both. Netflix on both is a decent
experience although I would lean xbone on that one.
The PS crowd has always been a little more hardcore and less
social. The xbox crowd is more social but that comes with more
kiddos on.
Getting Xbox live/ps plus has netted some decent free games each
month. It is a yearly fee but I personally don't mind because
most multiplayer is locked behind that pay wall and you get some
free games each month. Plus you can find deals through the year
to take that cost down a bit. The games you get are free as long
as you keep the subscription active.
Backwards compatible games important seems to be the deciding
factor in your case, from what I know.
Anyway, those are my thoughts IMHO. We can talk more in person
too if you want.

Hey fellas, so for christmas im thinking i want to get an
xbox one or ps4. i really only plan on playing games and
watching netflix on it. Which system would be the best for
this do you think? I have an xbox 360 so a few of the games
would be backwards compatible.
Also, i play RPG's and action RPG's the most, if that matters.
