I don't see any game changing panel tech coming out other than
gradual efficiency increase. Though, cheaper, yeah. And i think mostly

the install pieces, it's a money grab atm, I believe. Battery tech
simply
just isn't there yet.
Rocky Power does net metering now. You get credits for unused power
sent back to the grid and it resets once a year. They don't pay you for
feeding them and charge you $9 a month for connection fees. Sucks, but
the
math still works out if you plan the size of the system right with your
usage.
