I tried resetting the CMOS, and have an old wired USB 2 keyboard and mouse
that I've tried in all the USB 2.0 slots, but it's a no go.
It works perfectly in the BIOS, boot menus, advanced windows startup, but
as soon as I get to the login screen, everything attached to USB powers
down and nothing works. The only thing I've read online that I should try
is a PS/2 adapter or keyboard/mouse to get it logged in and allow it to
download the necessary drivers.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Weird a new mobo even has a ps/2 let alone need one. It's probably our
crappy "gaming" mechanical keyboards.
